Participants are expected to pay online by credit card (VISA or MASTER only) right after completing the registration form below. For those who wish to register but cannot settle the payment online by credit card, please contact the Workshop secretariat at for assistance.

Early-bird rate
Payment received by the Secretariat on or before 15 August 2018 [23:59, HK Time]: HKD2,800.00 (Equivalent to approximately USD360.00).

Standard rate
Payment received by the Secretariat after 15 August 2018 [23:59, HK Time]: HKD3,200.00 (Equivalent to approximately USD411.00).

The payment will be settled in Hong Kong Dollar (HKD), which is pegged to the US Dollar (USD) at a rate of about HKD 7.80 to USD 1 and exchange rates may fluctuate slightly. The actual settlement may be slightly different from the dollar amount stated due to the exchange rate at the point of purchase.

* Subject to availability, a double room may be assigned to the participant staying with a guest if no twin room can be arranged.

Note (1) Any change including but not limited to shortening the staying period and/or cancellation of booking on or before 21 August 2018 may incur a penalty charge equivalent to the room rates of the entire staying period unless all reserved room nights can be taken by another guest.
(2) Payment of room rates and other expenses, if any, has to be made directly to the Conference Lodge at its front desk during check-out.

Personal Information Collection Statement The information you provide to us will be used by the HKUST Institute for Advanced Study (hereinafter referred to as "the IAS") for all administrative purposes. The IAS will treat your personal information as strictly confidential.If necessary, the IAS may provide such information to the University for administration purpose. The IAS will not disclose such information to any external body or organization unless you have been informed, or you have requested us to do so, or it is required to do so by law.

Withdrawal and Refund Written notice must be sent to on or before 23:59 on 24 August 2018 [HK Time]. An administration fee equivalent to 20% of the registration fee collected from the registrant will be charged by the Secretariat for each individual registration and some processing fees may be charged by bank(s) as the refund will be made by wire-transfer. REFUND WILL NOT BE GRANTED AFTER THE SAID DATE.

Event Arrangement In Case Of Bad Weather All programs may be suspended once the Rainstorm Black Warning or Typhoon Signal No.8 or above is hoisted, or there is information that the warning or signal would be hoisted within one or two hours before the event starts. Notification would be announced in due course on the Workshop website at
